Data Logger Communication Methods
There are many methods for communication, USB, WiFi, GSM, cellular, Bluetooth and more. Traditional technology is a USB connection with a data download to store and send it out. Now with cloud storage, the options are endless. If you need real-time logistics then GSM with cloud storage is your best option. If you have a loading dock and a place to connect to a smart device, perhaps Bluetooth is your best option. If you have multiple locations and need a wireless, real-time solution, perhaps Cellular GSM is for you.
NIST or NO NIST
NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) calibration is required by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and can be used by other industries also. NIST is not required by all, but is the standard used for more and more loggers. VFC (Vaccines for Children) also requires an ISO 17025 accreditation, which is a different calibration method that can last for up to three years.
